Sam is a digital and social media communications specialist with a background in traditional PR. Having begun her career in global PR agencies she saw the opportunity in digital early on. She moved in-house to Macmillan Cancer Support where she implemented the organisation’s first social media strategy, developed and ran internal training across the UK and delivered award winning work.
Sam then sharpened her skills in specialist digital and social media consultancies. During this time she secured, led and grew accounts for businesses including Microsoft, Red Bull, BBC, Channel 4, Evernote, Nando’s, Pearson, Premier Inn and WWF. In that time she launched 33ForGood, a series of sell-out social media consultancy events for the charity sector, set up live streamed social media marketing classes with young tech entrepreneurs in Africa and was awarded Microsoft’s Innovator Award for her work on flexible working initiative, Anywhere Working.
Sam has worked on digital transformation projects for Pearson, Auto Trader and Sage, run data insight and analysis work for some of the UK’s biggest media companies and brands and built thriving online communities from scratch. She has run influencer engagement programmes for C4 Dispatches, Red Bull, Debenhams and Auto Trader and overseen website and app builds and launches for household brands and startups.
Sam is a trustee of Child.org, an innovative international children’s charity, with social enterprise at its heart. The organisation is dedicated to creating equal opportunities for children around the world.
